Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard has dismissed talks about accepting the club’s captain’s armband. But he insisted that it considered a great honor.

         Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the current captain of the Gunners. The striker has been linked with constant transfers from the club lately. And there is a possibility that will happen after this season.

         Although Odegaard is only 22 years old. He is currently the captain of the Norwegian national team. And his leadership qualities were greatly appreciated by Mikel Arteta.

         When asked about taking on Arsenal’s future leadership role, Odegaard said: “It would be an honor if the opportunity came. But now I’m only focusing on the present and improving the performance of the club,” Odegaard told The Mirror.

         Arsenal will host Norwich City in the league on Saturday after having lost their first three games in a row.
