Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed Edinson Cavani has the opportunity to return to the field for the Carabao Cup clash with West Ham next week.
The veteran striker is still in rehabilitation and will not be able to assist the team in the Premier League game against West Ham this weekend. But there is a chance for a comeback against the Hammers again in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, September 22.
“Hopefully Edinson can start training with us after the weekend,” Solskjaer said. “Hopefully he can play on Wednesday because he had a great season last season.”
“We feel now we have to push out Edinson’s best form this season. Because we want him to be 100 per cent fit and not rush him to the pitch.”
